The Fourth Education Fair (St.Regis Dubai , Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club -The Villa)

May 13, 2017

UAE, Dubai, 13th of April, 2017:

Education Fair for Dubailand area will be hosting their fourth annual event on Friday, 19 May 2017, at St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club (The Villa, Dubailand) from 10.00am-4.00pm.

It’s the first year when it will take place indoor thanks to the Title Sponsor St. Regis Dubai, Al HabtoorPolo Resort & Club.

The Education Fair for Dubailand is the only education fair dedicated to residents and companies located in the Dubailand area, offering parents with children ages 0-18 years old information on formal and informal education ranging from nurseries, to primary and secondary schools, as well as after school activities, home schooling and tutoring.

“I came up with the idea of organising an education fair after I saw so many questions on different Facebook groups regarding schools and nurseries in the area. Similarly, parents are always looking for after-school activities for their kids, or help with tutoring,” explained Clementina Kongslund, founder and organiser of The Education Fair and directory Education&After school.

There are currently around 100,000 people living in the Dubailand area, and in the past six years there has been an explosion in the number of developments being built and completed. Various new developments are also currently underway, and as the resident area expands, so does the need for educational and after-school facilities”.

In the Dubailand area (residential communities located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road, from Jebel Ali/Dubai Investment Park to Dubai Silicone Oasis) there are currently 23 schools, 17 nurseries, 10 sports companies, 8 companies offering music and dance activities, and about 7 companies offering tutoring.

“Regardless of the number of education and afterschool clubs currently on offer, the demand is still high in the area. In September 2016, a total of three new nurseries, and two new schools open in Arabian Ranches, Motor City, JVC and JVT alone. A new nursery in The Sustainable City Community opened its’ doors in 2016,” added Kongslund.

As the founder of the Women of Arabian Ranches group, Kongslund is very involved in the community, and enjoys helping people, especially those who are new to Dubai and have many questions about living and working here.

“We have received so much positive feedback about the event in the past, and the residents of the Dubailand area found the event very useful as it helped them collect all the information they need for their children, in one place. Let’s not forget that Dubai is a transient country and new people arrive every year to live here for a couple or more years, so they definitely need access to the information too.”

“As the fair is a community event, we also give high school students looking for community work experience, an opportunity to be involved in the fair. There are various roles available for them to be involved in such as event organizing, photography and filming, and entertaining the younger children while parents visit the fair. Last year, our master of ceremonies was a 15-year old girl from one of GEMS schools, and we had students from DESC and other GEMS schools in Dubai enrolled for the work experience,” concluded Kongslund.

The fourth Education Fair, in partnership with Strawberry Events, will take place on

Friday, 19 May 2017, at the new St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club (The Villa, Dbailand) from 10.00am-4.00pm.

It’s the first year when it will take place indoor thanks to out Title Sponsor St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.
